The dragon is STEAMED.

A while ago I posted a story by Mike Vanderboegh.

Turns out that it is a chapter in a novel he is writing.

There is a “chapters link” at Codreas War on Guns.

Mike recently wrote a letter to the editor of some newsraper that has set off a certain segment of the freedom loving Pro 2A community.

They want Mike to shut up. (more…)

Second Amendment an individual right.

Duh.

Remember a few months ago when I said this decision wouldn’t matter?

Well, lookie here.

An angry Mayor Richard Daley on Thursday called the Supreme Court’s overturning of the Washington D.C. handgun ban “a very frightening decision” and vowed to fight vigorously any challenges to Chicago’s ban.

It’s a big blow to those of us who believe in common sense gun laws,” Gov. Rod Blagojevich said during an appearance at a West Side community agency to announce a summer jobs program. “And as a result, it’s the wrong decision.”

So sayeth Illinois wannabe commie dictators.

Lessee who else…

Nancy? You wanted to say something?

Well I think you may have been sampling too much of your own wine. So sit down and be quiet while the grown ups talk.

b-HO says McCain is a fatty

Funny guy when he’s not on a teleprompter…

Go join Nancy and play nice, b.

At least Montana can keep its star on the flag

VPC is insisting the grass is blue and the sky green...

“Today’s opinion turns legal logic and common sense on its head. As measured in gun death and injury, handguns are our nation’s most lethal category of firearm: accounting for the vast majority of the 30,000 Americans who die from guns each year. Handguns are our nation’s leading murder and suicide tool. Yet the majority opinion offers the greatest offender the strongest legal protection. It’s analogous to the Court carving out special constitutional protection for child pornography in a First Amendment case.

“In its ruling, the Court has ignored our nation’s history of mass shootings, assassinations, and unparalleled gun violence. It has instead accepted an abstract academic argument with dangerous real-world results for residents of the District of Columbia. Thankfully, because the plaintiff in Heller did not challenge the District’s ban on “machine guns,” Washington, DC’s ban on most semiautomatic weapons, including semiauto handguns, should be unaffected.”

Funny thing for the only D.C FFL holder to say…

Well it would be fun to read and listed to the commie libertards, but I won’t waste my time.

Oh, and just so you know, we didn’t win.

This was a no win situation.

The libertards will just ignore the  SCOTUS  as all the above quotes show.

sigh.

Mike Vanderboegh has posted a story at David Codreas  War on Guns

Mike said to post it far and wide.

I like the story, so I am.

Absolved

by Mike Vanderboegh

(Disclaimer: This story is both fictional and true. Any resemblance to individuals living or dead is purely coincidental, or positively intentional, take your pick. Some might see a parallel here to recent events such as the Olofson case or Randy Weaver or the Davidians. If so, they may be right. Or wrong. There are all kinds of people in the world — all kinds of Phil Gordons, all kinds of gangs and all kinds of thugs. You may choose which thugs you think I’m writing about here. The story begins at three o’clock in the morning the day after tomorrow, one year from now. Or not. The decision is up to the thugs.)

Phil Gordon felt old, sick, tired and cranky. Cancer did that to you, but he didn’t have to like it. Still, Phil had one more thing to do before crossing the bar and he prayed to the God of Abraham that he would have the time and the strength to do it. He shifted in his recliner, taking in the photographs on the side wall, a life in brief, partially illuminated by the soft glow of the porch light angling in through the windowpane above the front door.

Sitting in the dark, with the pictures shadowed in whole or in part, Phil couldn’t see the details. He didn’t need to. He knew them by heart.

SCOTUS to Hear Heller (was Parker)

I know,
You already knew that.

Well, I am blogging in an attempt to answer a question that is comming at me from both sides if the issue.

“What if they rule against us?”

Now, from com uh, Liberals, I just say, so what? Your side never follows the rules anyway.

From patriots, I say simply take heart. For at least we will know what the job is.

Personaly, I think the court wouldn’t have granted cert AND re-wrote the question if they had not already figured out what they are going to say.
What that will be, I can only hope like all of you.

In parting, I offer these words of wisdom…
In his thre volume tomb, The Supreme Court in United states History, Charles Warren reminds us -and I hope the SCOTUS remembers-

However the court may interpret the provisions of the Constitution, it is still the Constitution which is the law, and not the decision of the court.

Personaly, I keep those words in mind whenever I hear a com uh, liberal quoting a SCOTUS decision.

P.S.

Yes, I bought ammo the 15th
